What You Get

Insulation:

Get rebates to upgrade your home insulation from top to bottom. Receive up to $7,200 off the cost of purchasing and installing insulation.
Cuts drafts, lower heating and cooling costs and help keep your home temperature consistent by upgrading the insulation of your attic, basement and exterior walls.

  • Receive $1/ft² up to $1,500 for upgrading your attic insulation.
  • Receive $2/ft² up to $1,900 when you update your basement insulation.
  • Receive $2/ft² up to $3,800 when you upgrade your home’s exterior wall insulation.

Above Grade Exterior Wall:

To be eligible for an exterior wall insulation incentive of up to $3,800 (i.e., $2 per square foot, up to a maximum of $3,800), you must:

  • i. satisfy all of the eligibility requirements listed in Section 1(a) above; and
  • ii. have a Participating Contractor replace or increase existing installation at an existing home to achieve a total overall R-value on an exterior wall of at least R-20.

Note: Insulation products installed must meet the applicable Canadian thermal insulation standard. “System values” or values of materials not tested to Canadian thermal insulation standards cannot be used for determining the amount of insulation added. Only Canadian thermal resistivity values are accepted.


Basement Walls:

To be eligible for the basement insulation incentive of up to $1,900 (i.e., $2 per square foot, up to a maximum of $1,900), you must:

  • i. satisfy all of the eligibility requirements listed in 1(a) above; and
  • ii. (ii) have a Participating Contractor replace or increase existing basement wall insulation at an existing home to achieve a total overall wall R-value of at least R-20.

Note: Insulation products installed must meet the applicable Canadian thermal insulation standard. “System values” or values of materials not tested to Canadian thermal insulation standards cannot be used for determining the amount of insulation added. Only Canadian thermal resistivity values are accepted.
